Here are our picks for the 10 Best Water Parks in America:

The Best Water parks are going to have a variety of water rides for every age, and the newest most exciting rides that are sure to thrill !

1. Typhoon Lagoon, Disney World, Orlando Florida 

This is a great water park and the #1 pick on our list.

Typhoon Lagoon features, white sandy beaches, Castaway Creek lazy river, water roller coasters, slides, wave pool with 6 ft waves.

Make sure to go in the deeper area of the wave pool so you don’t get knocked over and end up with scrapes.

The wave pool is great for good swimmers, 8 years and older as it can be a little rough with those huge waves.

You can Snorkel with sharks, stingrays & tropical fish in the manmade coral reef. You can also take surfing lessons!

Get there early to avoid the lines and get a lounge chair.

Refillable mugs are $10.25 and you get free refills all day.

2.  Blizzard Beach, Disney world, Orlando, Florida 

Blizzard Beach rivals Disneys other water park, Typhoon Lagoon, for our #2 spot on our Best Water Parks list.

Some say the rides here are more extreme, others don't care for the blizzard like cartoonish fantansy land theme. I think it's a pretty close call.

The chair lift is really cool and Teamboat Springs is a great family ride for up to 6 people. 

Don't forget, you can bring your cooler, so pack a lunch and save some money.

3.  Aquatica, Orlando Florida 

Aquatica by Seaworld has three locations, San Diego, San Antonio and Orlando. Our #3 pick on the list is Aquatica Orlando. 

Side by side wave pools, lazy river, exrtreme water slides and the famous Dolphin Plunge where you slide under water thru the Commerson's Dolphin habitat.

There is also a great water play area for smaller kids and a Walkabout Waters play area for hours of fun. Don't forget the sandy beaches too!

4. Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels, Texas 

Schlitterbahn has been in the Top 10 Best Water Parks for ten years in a row. They offer white water tubing, a wave pool,  lazy river, extreme water coasters and kids play areas. They also have a surf rider and a swim up pool and bar that is heated.

The Falls is the parks newest and best ride and has been named the "Best New Water Park Ride" by the readers of Amusement Today for 2011.

 The falls is a white water, lazy river ride like no other, for make sure you add The Falls to your must do list.

With so many rides and activities, Schlitterbahn could easily take a few days to enjoy the entire park and all of it's rides. 

5. Water World, Federal Heights, Colorado 

With over 46 water rides/coaster/play areas, WaterWorld is one of the largest water parks in the US. 

Water World has been rated as one of America's ten water parks by The Travel Channel, and will keep you going from dawn to dusk. This is place is huge. They have the normal water coasters, water slides, lazy river, wave pools and childrens play areas. 

Splurge for a tube valet so you don't have to carry your tubes up the big hills. 

Bring your cooler to save money, and parking is free!

6. Raging Waters, San Dimas California

Raging Waters has been ranked as one of the Top Ten Best Water Parks by the Travel Channel.

They have 36 slides and attractions, a sandy beach, there is something for everyone. They even offer a flowrider to practice your surfing.

The Younger crowd will love the parks Kids Kingdom and Splash Island. Best for ages 0 -9.

No coolers are allowed inside the park, prepare to purchase lunch or bring a picnic lunch and get your hand stamped to get back in.

7. Noahs Ark, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin 

Noahs Ark is located in the water park capital of the world.

They have been voted as one of the Top Ten Best Water Parks in America by The Travel Channel.

Noahs Ark is one of the biggest water parks in the US and boasts over 70 acres of water park heaven, two wave pools, two endless rivers, 49 water slides, 4 kiddie play areas, a 4d dive in movie theater, bumper boats and much more to keep everyone happy.

The Scorpions Tail extreme water coaster is one of the parks best water coaster for a thrill you won't forget.

8. Splashin Safari, Santa Claus, Indiana 

Named # 1 Best Water Park by Trip Advisor, you have to try Hyena Falls with it's in the dark water slides.

Splashin Safari is located in Holiday World, and yes, you just might see Santa Claus walking around here!

The Wildebeest water coaster has been names the worlds #1 water park ride by Amusement Today, it's 4 story drop and conveyor lifthill make for a memorable day.

Also, check out the Zoombabwe, the worlds largest enclosed water slide.

Splashin Safari offers free parking and FREE Gatorade, lemonade and water, as well as FREE sunscreen, yes I said FREE ! 

9. Six Flags White Water, Marietta, Georgia 

Voted as one of the Best 10 Water Parks in the nation by The Travel Channel, with over 30 water slides, 3 interactive childrens play areas, a giant wave pool and lazy river.

Remember to ride the parks best new ride for 2013, the Typhoon Twister water coaster with it's 5 story drop into a huge bowl.

Six Flags White Water 

10.  Splish Splash, Calverton, NY

Voted one of the Top Ten Water Parks in America by The Travel Channel, Splish Splash sits on 96 acres packed with over 20 water attractions.

A must do is the parks best & newest water coaster Bootleggers Run, this 4 person raft ride goes uphill and feels like your riding a roller coaster..this is fantastic!
